Luke Gilbert is a hands-on entrepreneur and former professional rugby player known for his drive and ability to turn ideas into action. After leaving boarding school, he signed for the London Wasps Rugby Club before earning a Bachelor of Science from Brunel University.
He began his business journey in healthcare, helping to expand Dovehaven Care Homes, the family-founded group started by his father, Mark Gilbert. Alongside his brother, Miles, Luke played a central role in scaling Dovehaven into one of the UK’s largest family-run care providers, now recognised as a leader in the sector.
With over 20 years of experience across the care and tech sectors, Luke brings a rare blend of strategic vision and operational know-how. In addition to his role at Dovehaven, he serves on the board of Vendi Tech and is an active early-stage investor in technology and FMCG ventures.
Known for his pragmatic mindset and bias for action, Luke brings clarity, focus, and executional excellence to every project he’s involved in.
